Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tenn. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County except for his time spent in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of World War II and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Edward Addison. Survivors: his wife, Lantha Addison, Meadowview, son and daughter-in-law: Terry Lee and Rhonda Addison, Meadowview; brother: Curtis Addison, Abingdon, Va.; sister: Josephine Thompson, Meadowview; and granddaughters: Stacey Lynn Addison, North Carolina, and Alexis Nicole Addison, Meadowview. Church Mrs. Dolly Mae Goss Church, 75, of the Middle Creek section of Cedar Bluff, Va., formerly of Whitewood, Va., passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, in a Richlands, Va., hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Whitewood and was the daughter of the late Leo and Ruth Stevenson Goss, both Whitewood natives. God called a precious mother and grandmother home. She had made her home in the Richlands area for the past 27 years and attended the Raven Assembly of God in Raven, Va. She was also a member of the Senior Friends Group in Richlands. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Church; stepmother, Nan Gross; brother, Virgil Goss; half-sister, Ruth Goss; stepson, Donald Church; and two grandsons, Troy Stanford and Colten Webb. He was born in Austinville, Virginia, a son of the late Thomas W. and Mae Young Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and retired from the Army Reserves as a lieutenant colonel following twenty years of service. He was a 1937 graduate of Emory & Henry College. Mr. Jackson was associated with the Hassinger Corporation for 45 years before retiring at age 79. He served as president of the Wythe County Kiwanis Club in 1950 and had been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bristol since 1953. Upon moving to Bristol fifty years ago, he joined State Street United Methodist Church where he was a past chairman of the administrative board, taught Sunday School classes and was a longtime member of the church choir. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Wyatt of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karen Wyatt of Claypool Hill, Va., and Rick and Becky Wyatt of Spartanburg, S.C.; one sister, Betty Walls of Wytheville, Va.; three brothers, Robert Wysor of Clinton, Tenn., Charles Wysor Jr. of Breaks, Va., and Larry Wysor of Honaker; two granddaughters, Kara Alexandria Wyatt and Farrah Marie Wyatt; and a loving companion, David Crosswhite of Bristol Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Va. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
