Raymond Dennis Caudill, 70, 1110 Walnut Grove Road, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Sullivan County, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lillie Swift Caudill. He was in the ministry for 46 years, pastoring the following churches, High Point Baptist Church, Meadowview, Va., Magnolia Baptist Church, Branford, Fla., Highland Baptist Church, Lawtey, Fla., Breamor Baptist Church, Hampton, Tenn., and was serving as pastor at Community Chapel Baptist Church, Hampton, at the time of his death. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Caudill of the home; a son and daughter-in- law, Robert and Judette Caudill, Bristol Tennessee; four grandchildren, Joshua, Zachery, Christopher and Alyssa Caudill, all of Bristol Tennessee; three sisters, Charlotte Slagle, Ruby Adams, Louise Watson, all of Bluff City, two sisters-in-law, Louise Caudill, Bluff City and Mary Caudill, Morristown; one brother-in-law, William Myers, Bluff City; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Se was a faithful member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church and the Pastors Bible Class. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hall was very active in her community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lawson and Ella Mae Russell Lawson; her brothers, Albert Lawson, James Lawson, Earl Lawson, Thomas Lawson and Fred Burgin; and her sisters, Otley Drinnon, Ethel Barnette and Mary Davis. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, May 24, 1943, Elmer J. Marie Hayes Perrigan Marie Virginia Hayes Perrigan, 79, of 391 Old Jonesboro Road, Bristol, Tenn., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003, in the Veterans Nursing Home, Johnson City, Tenn. Mrs. Perrigan was a native of Bluff City and had spent all of her life in the Bristol area. She was the daughter of the late Jake and Fanny Hayes and was the widow of the late Buster Perrigan. She was a U.S. Army veteran where she served as an Army nurse during World War II and was a member of the Hickory Tree Union Church. Born in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Roy Wright and Catherine Taylor Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Sandefur; and a brother, T.R. Wright Jr. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Sandefur was employed by Valley Health Care Center for 30 years. She was a member of the Byars Cobb Memorial United Methodist Church and at the time of her death, was being ministered to by St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Sandefur of Abingdon and Theresa Sandefur of Weber City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Joanne Sandefur of Charleston, S.C., and David and Donna Sandefur of Mechanicsville, Va.; grandsons, Ryan Sandefur and Taylor Sandefur, both of Mechanicsville; two brothers, Paul Wright and wife Mary Ellen of Warrenton, Va., and J.B.
