PAUL -- Bascom S. Clark, 84, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport. He was born in Scott County, Va., and son of the late Emory and Myrtle Gose Clark. He was preceded in death by one brother, Talamage Clark; and one sister, Gladys Burton. He is survived by one daughter, Nannie Mullins and husband Bert of Castlewood; two sons, Troy Clark of Castlewood and David Clark of Castlewood; one half-sister, Janice Davis of Clarkston, Mich.; two half-brothers, Marvin Clark of Arburn Hills, Mich., and Ronald Clark of Kaukaska, Mich.; three nieces, Mary Reeves of Gray, Tenn., Elsie Sword of High Point, N.C., and Shirley Garland of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and seven nephews, Hubert Clark of Erie, Pa., Ross Clark of Jonesborough, Tenn., Bill Burton of Erwin, Tenn., Carlos Burton of Panama City Beach, Fla., Jim Burton of Dayton, Tenn., Allen Burton of Panama City Beach and Ernest Burton Jr. of Castlewood. Graveside services will be conducted in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jessie Jones officiating. The funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernie Burton, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Fugate. She was the daughter of the late Joe M. and Nellie Frye Smith Cox, and was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. She was a former retail salesperson with W.T. Grant and Hills and was best known as the cook at Webb Store. She was a member of Holston Baptist Church and was the widow of George Edward Greene. Survivors include: children, George E. Greene Jr. of Bluff City, Jesse (Mike) Greene of Bristol Tennessee, Helen Greene Harris of Bristol, Betty Clevenger of Bristol, Johnny I. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Beatrice O'Quinn. Scotty was an avid race fan and a supporter of his nephew, Danny O'Quinn Jr., in the USAR Southern Division. He is survived by his wife, Anna O'Quinn; a stepson, Wayne Tuggle and stepdaughter, Chrissy Tuggle, both of Chilhowie; two brothers, Danny O'Quinn of Coeburn and Bob O'Quinn of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Judy Gillespie of Glade Spring and Sherry Sutton of El Paso, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Catlin and Christian Breedlove of Marion; and 14 special nieces and nephews.
