Clayton B. Cline Sr. RAVEN, Va. -- Mr. Clayton B. (Jack) Cline Sr., 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2003, following a long illness. Born in Tazewell County, Va.,. he was the son of the late Estil and Maude Rasnake Cline. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Donald Cline and Freddie Lee Cline; four brothers, Leonard Cline, Ted Robinette, Robert Robinette and Clarence Johnson; and one sister, Sady Campbell. Mr. Cline is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mrs. Thelma Asubry Cline; one son, Clayton B. Cline Jr. and wife Nancy of Raven; two daughters, Wilma Sue Keen and husband Joe of Raven, and Norma and husband Earnest of Raven; one brother, Estil Johnson of Doran, Va.; three sisters, Emmily Mullins of High Point, N.C., Nellie Osborne of Raven and Lillie Keen of Knoxville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors also survive. He was born in Whitesburg, Ky., and had lived in this area over 30 years. Mr. Dixon was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Dixon. Survivors include two daughters, Louise Bentley, Bristol Tennessee, and Roberta Dixon, Charleston, S.C.; two sons, David Dixon and wife Michelle, Church Hill, Tenn., and Gene Dixon, Piney Flats. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amanda Bentley, David Wayne Zahringer, Elijah Dixon and Nathaniel Dixon. Mary Alma Dunn JOHNSON CITY -- Mary Alma Dunn, 80, of 326 Carroll Creek Road, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in North Side Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Pittsburgh and was a daughter of the late James and Alma Trainor. Mrs. Dunn received her nurses training at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, and came to Johnson City in 1947 as a cadet nurse at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tenn. She also worked as a private duty nurse in the Tri-Cities area, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her stepmother, Elizabeth Trainor; her sister, Kathleen Fennessy; her stepsisters, Elizabeth Peters and Grace Peters; and her stepbrothers, William Peters and Robert Peters. Survivors include her husband, William Robert "Bob" Dunn; her daughter and son- in-law, Judy and Phil Minor, Johnson City; her sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Dunn, Duluth, Ga., Alan and Lisa Dunn, Kingsport, Mike and Anne Dunn, Piney Flats and Doug and Sandy Dunn, Johnson City; her step-brother, Charles Peters, Pittsburgh; her aunt, Rosella Farbacher, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Rebecca Minor, Brian Minor, Matt Dunn, Josh Dunn, Christopher Dunn and Adam Dunn; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Rev. Steve Harmon and Dr. Paul Walwick will officiate. Rosa Caudill Herron NORTON -- Rosa Caudill Herron, 97, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at her home following a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Hoot Owl Hollow and the Norton area. She was the widow of William McKinley Herron, a member of the Norton Church of God at Ramsey and was known as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by children, Paul E. Herron, Harvey Ellerron, Donald Herron and twins, Donna Gayle and Michael Gleason. Surviving are daughters, Ellen Clark and Ann Gilliam of Norton, Goldie Burton, Big Stone Gap, Va., Margie Wyatt and Sue Hopkins, Wise; sons, Clyde Herron and Ray Herron, both of Norton; two sisters, Wilma Freeman, Huron, Ohio, and Zere Sammons, Berlin Heights, Ohio; 36 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Honaker, 82, of 1207 Florida Ave., Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 3, 2003, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Honaker was born on March 29, 1921, in Bristol Tennessee, to the late Henry Russell and Eddie Ball Honaker. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in World War II. Mr. Honaker attended the Walker Mountain Baptist Church and was a former employee of Enterprise Black Diamond. Mr. Honaker was preceded in death by two sisters, Ola Phipps and Faris Honaker; and three brothers, Carl, Clyde and Claude Honaker. Mr. Honaker is survived by one brother, Joe Honaker of Bristol Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and one very special friend, Hazel Rickson. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Denton and Rev. Donald Denton officiating. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Evans and Gay Epling; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Daisy Presley.
