Nora was born July 3, 1960, in Panama City, Florida, and Erin was born June 12, 2003, in Kingsport. Nora was a member of the Cassidy United Methodist Church. She was a CPA and was employed by Eastman Chemical Company. She received her BBA from East Tennessee State University in 1988. She was preceded in death by her father and Erin's grandfather, Walter Ahern; grandmother and Erin's great- grandmother; Polly Lane; and Erin's grandmother, Anna Broyles. After retirement, he became a dedicated farmer. He was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ and the American Legion Post 164.
