Juanita Buskill Webb, 67, Richlands Ray Absher Ray Absher, 73, died Monday, August 4, 2003, at his home in the Ramsey community. Born to the late Clarence and Della Greear Absher, Ray was known as a loving husband and devoted father. He was the owner of the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for bravery while in action. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; his brother, Danny Absher; and brother-in-law, Burchell Cowden. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Wanda L. Absher; daughters and sons-in- law: Connie and Bucky Hessong, Callahan, Fla.; Tina and Jeff Sifford, St. Paul; and Celeste and Jason McNew, Wise; and sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Melissa Lintz, Norton, and Brad Absher of Norton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation. She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1954 and was very active in the Boy Scouts, having served as a den mother on various Air Force bases while a military wife. She was an active member of the Cliffield Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty B. Lowe and Jean B. Dye; and one brother, James W.
