Leonard Tames Cook ABINGDON -- Leonard Tames (Sport) Cook, 81, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tenn. He was born on Aug. 4, 1922, in Russell County, Va. He was of the Baptist faith. He served his country for 12 years during World War II and in Korea. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Smith Cook; his mother, Gertrude White Cook; two brothers, Turner Cook and Bryce Cook; and one sister, Virginia Brooks. He is survived by two brothers, Beecher Cook and J.F. Cook, both of Lebanon; three sisters: Virgie Austin of Castlewood; Clara Cowan of New Jersey; and Irene Perry of Bristol Virginia; and by special friends, Randy and Trish Fields. Mr. Sells served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He later retired from Burlington Industries after 28 years of employment. She had made her home in Tazewell for the past 24 years and most of her life in Buchanan County Va. She was a member of Tazewell Family Worship Center. She was the widow of Annon Stiltner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Christine Stiltner; grandchild, Jessica Ratliff; son, Clarence R. Stiltner; five brothers; and two sisters. Ronnie D Trivette BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Ronnie Dwight Trivette, age 48, went to be with his Heavenly Father and his dearly loved son, Stacey Brian Trivette, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was born in Bristol Virginia, and was employed with Electrolux for 17 years and was also employed by Watson Tile and Woodworking. He was also the owner of Trivette's Mobile Home Repair. He was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman and always respected and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a coach and an assistant coach for seven years in the South Holston Little League. Ronnie also was a very enthusiastic NASCAR fan and a loyal supporter of Dale Earnhardt. He was a very devoted son, brother, loving father and papaw. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, April and Donnie Brugger; grandchildren, Briana Elizabeth, Marissa Ann and Stacie Lynn; parents, Larkin "L.T." and Effie Gross Trivette; two special loving and devoted sisters, Judy Trivette Watson and Joan Trivette Pyle; special nephew, Jeremy Pyle; and special niece, Melissa Pyle. Mr. Wilson was born on Feb. 6, 1920, in Bristol Tennessee, a son to the late Mr. and Mrs. Roby L. and Verdie Grindstaff Wilson. Mr. Wilson had lived all his life in the Bristol area, was a salesman and had retired from Kerns Bakery. Mr. Wilson was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in World War II. Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Misty Wilson; and by two brothers, Junior Wilson and Earnest Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Ruby G.
