Mrs. Casey spent most of her life in Washington County and was a member of West Main Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed visiting family and friends, enjoyed church, music and dancing. Marshall, a lifelong resident of Bristol Virginia, passed away peacefully at the Cambridge House nursing home on Aug. 19, 2003. One of nine children, Madeline was born January 3, 1906, to John Nathaniel Campbell and Cordelia Burnette Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. Marshall. She is survived by her daughter, Doris M. Blair and son-in-law Robert L. Blair of Bristol Tennessee; her son, Fred M. Peck Sr. HONAKER -- Mr. Dewey Calvin Peck Sr., age 79, of the Lewis Creek section, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, in a Richlands hospital. Born May 14, 1924, in Russell County, Va., he was a son of the late Clayburn and Rachel Griffith Peck. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of Hubbard's Chapel. A retired coal miner, he had worked for Island Creek Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Gertrude Peck, five brothers, Bob Peck, Glen Peck, Luther Peck, Estil Peck and Otis Peck, and one sister, Cynthia Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver for Lemon Transportation Co., hauling gasoline and diesel fuel for over 20 years. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Essie; two sons, Wayne of South Daytona and Kenneth; one daughter, Betty Carroll, South Daytona; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dolly Gay Trammell BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Dolly Gay Trammell, age 76, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Grundy and was a daughter of the late Henry N. Looney and Rebecca Honaker Looney. She had lived in the Bristol area most of her life. She was a well-known hairdresser in the Bristol area, with over 30 years of service and also winning a National Hairstyling Competition. She was a retired employee of Haven Home for Women, where she was the Women's Ministry director for 10 years. She also served on the Board of Directors at Haven Hollow and was involved with the jail ministry. She taught Sunday School at the Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church and she was a member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Trammell was a very loving person and was a people person. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Clifford Kerby, Berea, Ky., and Debbie and Vic Jordan, Bristol Virginia; adopted daughter, Patty Hynes; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Starr Rowe, Wytheville, Danny and Joan Trammell, Bluff City, and David and Cindy Trammell, Lexington, Ky.; sister, Goldie Brown, Grundy; four grandchildren, Kim Mecom, Chris Rowe, Phillip Jordan and Lauren Jordan; 10 step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
