Andersen and wife Xialon Chen of Hope Mills, N.C.; two daughters, Susan E. Andersen of Boyce and Brenda A. McNutt and husband Ronald B. She was a devoted homemaker, spent her time quilting, gardening, cooking and listening to bluegrass and gospel music. Born in Johnson County, Ky., he was the son of the late Charles and Zella Mary Ratliff DeVore. He was an employee of Quality Care Ambulance Service and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Dolinger, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 29, 2003. Mr. Dolinger was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Smyth County, Va. He worked and retired from Brunswick Corp. with 30 years of service as a tool engineer. He was a dedicated Christian, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a friend to everyone. James taught Sunday School, was a deacon, superintendent of Sunday Schools at Faith Baptist Church and Glade Spring Baptist Church until his health prevented him from attending church. (Jim) Edmiston age 81, passed away at Laughlin Memorial Hospital Friday night, Aug. 29th, 2003. Mr. Edmiston retired from United Inter-Mountain Telephone Co., now known as Sprint, in 1983, where he worked as a tree trimmer, later became an installer and repairman, then a test desk man, wire chief, plant chief, plant manager and then became supervising service foreman. Jim also served in World War II as Sergeant U.S.M.C. on the Battleship New York. Jim was of the Primitive Baptist faith and was affiliated with Asbury United Methodist Church. He was a member of the VFW Post 1990 and a member of I.T.P.A. Billy Wayne Wyatt BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Billy Wayne Wyatt, age 53, of 523 Carolina Ave., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wyatt was born April 20, 1950, in Abingdon, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Irvin and Mabel Roark Wyatt. He had lived most of his life in the Bristol area, was a former employee of Raytheon and was a member of the True Faith Tabernacle Church. He was a veteran having served in the Navy during Vietnam and Desert Storm and received the following decorations, medals and citations while serving in the Navy: Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Taciturn Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, First Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sharpshooter, Battle Efficiency "E" Ribbon, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Irvin Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen Riley Wyatt; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Wyatt and wife Terrie of Bristol Virginia; one grandson, Anakin Alexander Wyatt; his mother, Mabel Wyatt of Abingdon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Marie Lewis and husband Emery of Colonial Heights, Va., and Debbie Leonard and husband Danny of Bristol Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, with the Rev. Jessee Neal officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Highlands Fellowship Church Honor Color Guard. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home.
