He was an employee of Mt. Rogers I.D.C. in Atkins, Va. Survivors: two sons, Jerry Wayne and Kim Breedlove, Marion, and James T. Jr. "John" and Shannon Breedlove, Marion; two daughters, Wanda Bentley and friend, Archie Griffey, Marion and Debbie Breedlove and friend, Kevin Privett, Marion; two sisters, Joyce and Ivan Keith, Saltville, and Sylvia Heath, Chilhowie; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Breedlove will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Henderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Zen Lynx Davis JOHNSON CITY -- Zen Lynx Davis, the beloved 5-month-old son of Joe and Bridget Davis, was called by God on Sept. 13, 2003. Despite Zen's short life, he had the gift to touch and inspire everyone he met. Zen's unforgettable smile and endless laughter will forever remain in our hearts. The world has truly lost an amazing superstar. He is survived by his parents, Bridget MacMurray Davis and Joe Wayne Davis of Johnson City; two brothers, Sidney MacMurray of Johnson City and Broox Davis of Miami, Fla.; his maternal grandparents, Teresa and David L. Greear COEBURN -- Frances Pauline Greear, 88, widow of Charles E. Greear, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, in the Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Norton, following an extended illness. She was a charter member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church, was born in Shouns, Tenn., and daughter of the late Manley and Ella Warren Crowder. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Greear, son-in-law, Hoston Sutphin, half sister, Trilla Norris, two stepsisters, Opal Perdue and Edna Crowder, stepbrother, Clyde Crowder, and three half brothers, Otis, Orville and Delmer Crowder. Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Bernice Sutphin of Mt. Airy, N.C., Agnes and Thurston Stallard of Coeburn and Arnell Greear of Duffield, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Cleo and Evelyn Greear of Fayetteville, N.C.; one daughter-in-law, Freda Greear of Coeburn; 13 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two half sisters, Mamie Adams of Mountain City, Tenn., and Dorothy Perdue of Lexington, N.C., and three half brothers, Wayne, Earl and Jimmy Crowder, all of Mountain City. Troy Allen Monk RICHLANDS -- Mr. Troy Allen Monk, age 41, of 2417 Charles St., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, in a Lebanon hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Richlands and was the son of James Henry Monk of Honaker and Shirley Ann Cox Pyles of Richlands. He had made his home in the Richlands area all of his life and was a truck driver for Buchanan Oil Company at Oakwood, Va. He was a Richlands High School Class of 1980 graduate and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors are: he was the loving father of his two-year-old son, Nathan, as well as a devoted husband to his wife of 10 years, Leana Newberry Monk. He was loved dearly by his only sister, Vickie Lynn Childress of Raven, Va., and one brother, Roy Lee Monk of Richlands. He also had one nephew, Mark Anthony Horn, who was his best friend, and one niece, Chelsey Horn, that he loved with all of his heart. He will always be in our hearts and minds forever. God bless you. Mike Roatsey Jr. THORPE, W.Va. -- Mike "Bo" Roatsey Jr. age 77, address P.O. Box 483, died on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, in Kingsport from a heart attack. Born on April 7, 1926, in Jenkinjones, he was a son of the late Mike and Dora Molnar Roatsey. He had been a resident of Thorpe for 50 years and was of the Methodist faith. He was retired from the Cleaning Plant of U.S. Steel Corp. and was a member of the UMWA. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army's Calvary Division. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was an avid gardener and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Adkins District Conservation Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Roatsey, two brothers, John and Joseph Roatsey, and two sisters, Elizabeth Kapish and Lena Gabriel. Survivors include one son, Dr. Thomas Roatsey and wife Teresa of Abingdon; two cherished grandchildren, Brandy and Blake of Abingdon; a step-grandson, Brian Mallory of San Francisco; four sisters, Margaret Merencsics of Edwardsburgh, Mich., Helen Kish and husband Joe of Lakeland, Fla., Lydia Krajc of Thorpe and Mary Roatsey of Anawalt, W.Va.; life long friends, Elijah J. and Gloria Tapp of Lakeland, and neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tickle of Thorpe. Mr. Stevens, age 99, of the Sandy Ridge section, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at his home. Neva Jean Wallace BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Neva Jean Wallace, 56, of 911 Glendale St., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, from the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wallace had lived in Bristol most of her life and attended Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Hattie Kegley Cook. Survivors include husband, Raymond Wallace Sr.; daughter, Lisa Eastridge and husband Jeff; sons, Raymond Lee Wallace Jr., wife Shauna, Henry Douglas Wallace and wife Amy K.; sisters, Mabel Gammon, Agnes Scruggs, Geneva Cross, Maxie King, Judy Vickers, Rita Balthis and Elaine Trivett; brother, Robert "Gip" Cook; grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Hunter and Austin; aunt, Mae Moad, and several nieces and nephews.
