She lived in Bristol Virginia most of her life and had resided at the Cambridge House since September, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen G. Anderson Sr. Survivors include her two sons, James Richard Anderson and wife Kay and Allen Graham Anderson II and wife Laura; two grandsons, Brian Anderson and wife Missy and Graham Anderson and wife Amanda, and two great-grandsons, Tyler and Aidan Anderson. She was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Smyth County, Va., and was a member of Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. Louise retired from Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute after 24 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude W. Funk, and one brother, Bobby Wayne Funk. John Richard Easley BRISTOL, Tenn. – John Richard "Dick" Easley, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Wellmont Hospice House. He was born in Bristol Tennessee, son of the late Robert M. "Slim" and Elizabeth Easley and a brother of the late Rachel Easley Richards. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Bristol Tennessee High School and attended Davidson College and the University of Tennessee. During his 20-year career as a home-builder, Mr. Easely constructed many homes throughout the Bristol area. He attended the A.C. Adams Sunday School Class at First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Claudette Easley; a daughter, Dawn Bertsche and her husband Ken of Cincinnati; two sons, Bill Hatley of Cincinnati and Steve Hatley and his wife Clarissa of Arlington, Va.; a grandson, Mark Hatley of Springfield, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Joe Richards of Bristol Tennessee, and two nieces, Mary Joe Richards Shires and Carol Richards, both of Knoxville. Hugh Hagan Hugh Hagan, age 88, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. A life-long resident of the Bristol area, he presently lived at Grand Court of Bristol Virginia. He was a retired employee from the State of Virginia Employment Compensation Division. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was an active member of Noon Civitan Club, where he was involved with many projects. Hicks, age 89, went to be with her Lord Friday at her residence. Willie was born in Springfield, Tenn., Sept. 3, 1914, moving to Sullivan County when she was nine years old. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blountville and she was active for many years in the 4H Club. She was a number one lady to all who knew her and a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a cafeteria manager at the Holston School for 36 years, she loved her work as well as her school students and she strived to make a difference by touching their lives in a meaningful way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude H. Hicks, her mother, Molly Harpe, a granddaughter, Gina L. King, her son-in-law, Edward M. King, and her brother-in-law, Archie Hicks. White BRISTOL, Va. – Mr. Charles Earnest White, age 60, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. White was a native of Holton, Kan., and spent most of his early life in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to Bristol in 1988, working for Universal Fibers (Camac). Mr. White was a Scout Master for Troop 3 Bristol Tennessee, and a soccer coach for Bristol Parks and Recreation. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved cycling. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Lucille Holmgren White, two brothers, Jack Jackson and John White, and sisters, Doris Martin and Evelyn Mott. He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Tommie) White of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth White and Dan of Richmond; one stepdaughter, Ann Taylor and Billy of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Christopher White and Mitzi of Staunton, Va., Douglas White and April of Blacksburg, Va., and Nathaniel White and Yara of Christiansburg, Va.; stepson, Mike Bowles and Rhonda of Bristol Tennessee; and two sisters, Louise Varenkamp of Covington, Ga., and Rose Lee Geiger of Leesburg, Fla.
