He loved to fish and was a devoted Dallas Cowboy’s fan. Randall was a member of the New Life Tabernacle and Upper Room Pentecostal Church. His pastor, Rick Morrell, was a devoted friend. He was the son of the late Annie Glass and George H. Humphreys Sr. Paul was an active member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church. He had worked for 50 years at Southern States (Washington County Farmers’ Cooperative) in Abingdon, where he had served as manager. Paul had been a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, proudly serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post 2. He was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Yuhasz, and Gladys Faye, Betty Lee and Lila Virginia Humphreys; brothers, Glenn, Delmar and Leonard Humphreys; brothers-in-law, Rev. Margaret White RAVEN, Va. – Mrs. Margaret Sue Hess White, age 54, of the Mill Creek section, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2003, at her home. Born November 2, 1949, in Tazewell County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Graham and Eunice Graybeal Hess of the Mill Creek section. She was a teacher at Ieager High School for seven years and at Council Elementary School for 25 years. She was awarded Who’s Who Among America’s Best Teachers and recognized in the Library of Congress and most state libraries. She was well beloved by her students. She was owner and operator of A & M Mobile Home Sales. She also owned and operated several rental properties. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elbert and Margaret Hess; maternal grandparents, Quincy and Jenny Graybeal; two brothers, James Randal Hess and Billy Graham Hess; two sisters, Betty Lee Blaylock and Janet D. Dye; and one special nephew, Jason Scott Hess. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, James A. White; three brothers, Glenn A. Hess and Joe M. Hess, both of Raven, and Charles Hess Jr. of Atlanta; one special sister-in-law, Barbara K. Hess; special nephews, Michael Hess and Joshua Dye; four nephews; two great- nephews; four nieces; one great-niece; several cousins; and many friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2003, at the Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker. Younes, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, at his residence. He had been a resident of Bristol for almost four years and was a retired salesman. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife, Nina Hartley Younes; sons, Donald Younes, Brian Younes, Mark Younes and Ken Younes; daughter, Diane Hoffman; stepdaughter, Amber Lemmons; and 13 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2003, at 4 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mr. Harry Hall officiating.
