He was born in Sullivan County and was a son of William Lawrence and Angela Brickey Faidley. He attended Central High School, graduated from Virginia High School and was continuing his education at Virginia Highlands Community College. He was a member of Tri-Cities Apostolic Church. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his grandmother, Stella Marie Brickey of Kingsport, a brother, Christopher Paul Faidley, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a life-long resident of Scott County, Va., (Hiltons community). He was very active in the Scott County Republication Party, of which he had been a member of over 60 years. He was a charter member of the Hiltons Ruritan Club. He was an avid woodworkman. He served on the board of the Carter Family Memorial Music Center. He was a member of Hiltons United Methodist church, where he had served as trustee and also on the administrative board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle McMurray Hensley, an infant son, James Gary Hensley, and his parents, George C. Hensley and Theodocia Blizard Hensley. Kenneth was born March 24, 1938, in Russell County, Va. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army and was a longtime member and deacon of the Midway Baptist Church.
