She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joe and Kate Whitehead, two brothers, Leo and Dale Whitehead, and two sisters, Francis Sheets and Lily Kate Whitehead. She is survived by her husband, Nathan A. Blanks Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Haun; sons, Nathan A. Blanks Jr. and his wife Becky and Marcus G. Blanks and his wife Michelle; sisters, Ethel Heath, Dorothy Vance, Della Mae Wilson, Jean Cardwell and her husband Oliver and Esther "Carol" Clear and her husband Barney; brothers, Ralph Whitehead, Robert "Buddy" Whitehead and his friend Evonne and G.C. Whitehead and his wife Retta; grandchildren, Jessika Blanks, Heather Blanks, Morgan Roche, Christopher Blanks and Jack Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends throughout Virginia. Booher, age 67, 120 Second St., died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at his home. He was a native of Washington County, Va., and son of the late Howard Rutledge Booher and Theatta Faulkner Booher. He was owner and operator of B & B Grave Excavating, a former employee of Weaver Funeral Home, Valleydale Packers and was founder of Tony’s Deli. Helen Hutton Brown SUGAR GROVE, Va. – Helen Hutton Brown, age 84, went to be with the Lord and reunite with her beloved husband, Howard Brown, Thursday, May 6, 2004, in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of Carmi Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully until her illness, and was employed by Harwood Manufacturing Company for many years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Boyd and Ruth Shupe. Mrs. Brown is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Richard Brewer of the Camp community in Sugar Grove; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruby Parks, Wilma and Colonel Shupe and Anne and Junior Parsons, all of Sugar Grove; one brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Grace Hutton of Sugar Grove, and several loving nieces, nephews and faithful in-laws from the Brown and Pugh families also survive. Fayne Ellis Stacy RICHLANDS – Mr. Fayne Ellis Stacy, age 84, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004, in a Bristol Tennessee hospital following a brief illness. Born in Russell County, Va., he was the son of the late Elijah F. and Zellah Whitt Stacy. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was store manager for A&P and Acme Markets. He was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as trustee and elder and was a member of the Men’s C.W.F. Mr. Stacy was a former member of the Lions Club and Rotary Club. He was a member of Richlands Masonic Lodge 318. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lt. Col. Ferral Stacy and Needham Stacy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family in his generation. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gladys (Gaye) Crouse Stacy; two sons, Rev. Gerald K. Stacy and wife Sandy of Richlands and F.E. Stacy Jr. and wife Darlene of Houston; four grandchildren, Lucinda Boardwine and husband Jay of Bluefield, W.Va., John Mark Stacy of Bluefield, Va., and Christopher Brent Stacy and Steven Stacy, both of Houston, and one great-granddaughter, Krista Boardwine.
