Betty S. Authenreath BRISTOL, Va. – Mrs. Betty Sue Authenreath, age 61, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Dickenson County, Va., but had lived most of her life in Washington County. Betty was the daughter of the late Harold Lee and Thelma Jessee McMillan, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Miller. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Tony Authenreath Jr. and girlfriend Eva Ledford of Bristol Virginia; four sisters, Mrs. Dolly Spears and husband Bob, Mrs. Ann Miller and husband McKinley, Mrs. Phyllis Carbary and husband Bill and Ms. Marie Plemons, all of Abingdon; one niece and several nephews. Born April 24, 1928, in Russell County, Va., he was a son of the late Luther and Malissa Miller Harris. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean conflict. He was a disabled coal miner and mechanic. He was a member of the Charity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Bristol Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Harris, and two brothers, Paul Harris and Ervin Harris. Survivors include his devoted wife of 27 years, Jane Harris of the home; four daughters, Bonnie Gillie and her husband Brent of Bristol Virginia, Christal Wilkerson and her husband Billy of Fredricksburg, Va., Stephanie Brown of Tampa, Fla., and Master Sgt. Roy Lee Norman CEDAR BLUFF – Mr. Roy Lee Norman, age 72, of the Baptist Valley section, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004, in a Richlands hospital, following a lengthy illness. Ogle CHILHOWIE – Clinton Harrold Ogle (April 21, 1922-June 12, 2004) passed away after a long illness. He was the oldest son of Arnold and Eather Ogle. He was born in Barren Springs, Wythe County, Va., and lived most of his life in Hillsville, Carroll County, Va. He was raised on a farm on Coon Ridge, and was proud of his service in the headquarters company of the 3rd Battalion, 149th Infantry, 38th Division in the Philippines, during World War II. He was a life member of VFW Post 1115 in Hillsville. He worked at Hillsville Auto & Electric and Sears Roebuck and Co., later moving as Sears Service Center manager to Galax and Radford, Va., and retiring in 1978. He was a member of F.&A.M Lodge 206 in Bland, Va. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Kay Ogle of Saltville; two grandchildren, Erich Harold Ogle of Starkville, Miss., and Phillip Wyatt Ogle of New York City, and one sister, Rubye Nichols. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph C. Ogle. Mr. Ogle will be interred in Mount Rose Cemetery and, at his request, no services will be held. He was a private person, who sought to cause no inconvenience in other people’s lives. In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made to any charity of your choice. She was born March 10, 1953, in Roanoke and had lived in Alexandra, Va., before moving to Bristol. Mrs. Pruitt was a homemaker and attended the First Freewill Baptist Church. He was the son of Harold "Bud" Storm and Thelma Storm Spencer. Mr. Storm was a 1975 graduate of Greenfield-Central High School, and a 1980 graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy. Mr. Storm had been employed the past 17 years as a director and manager for pharmaceutical development at GlaxoSmithKline. He and his team were instrumental in receiving numerous pharmaceutical patents for the development of medications such as Paxil, Augmentin XR, Bactroban and several others. Mr. Storm was a member of the Indian Kentuck Baptist Church in Cannan, Ind. He was also a member of the John Purdue Club, Purdue Alumni Association, Purdue University President’s Council, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, the National Rifle Association and Kettlefoot Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his father in 1966. Mr. Storm is survived by his mother, Thelma Storm Spencer of Greenfield; one brother, David Spencer of Greenfield, and one niece. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 14, 2004, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Errol Rohr and John Garland officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4 until 7:45 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home. The body will be take to Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 West U.S. Highway 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Justice Lee Wassom A funeral service for Baby Justice Lee Wassom will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2004, in the Glenwood Mausoleum. Justice Lee Wassom, age six months, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2004. Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
