She was a native of Hawkins County, but had lived in the Bristol area most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Bruce and Frances Bradley Duncan. She retired as a CNA from Bristol Regional Medical Center and she was a member of Bethel View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fox was also preceded in death by her husband, Easterly S. Fox, and a brother, Glen Duncan. Survivors include a daughter, Doris Feathers of Gantt, Ala.; a son, Jerry Fox of Thomasville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Brandon and Casey Fox, and two sisters-in- law, Virginia Fox and Ruby Ausmus. She was a native of Washington County, but had resided in Chesapeake, Va., for 57 years, before returning to Glade Spring four years ago. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Belle Tuell Arnold. She was a founding member of the Believers Baptist Church in Chesapeake and currently a member of the Washington Springs United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved daughter in law, Delores Batkins Grimes. Mrs. Grimes is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas J. Grimes Sr.; one son, Thomas J. Wynegar MEADOWVIEW – Johnny Daniel Wynegar, age 61, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Lena Mae Wynegar, and a sister, Joyce O’Quinn. Mr. Wynegar served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps and had been employed with AEP for 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Darla Kaye Wynegar; one son, Steven Craig Wynegar of Meadowview; one daughter, Karen Danette Hayden of Bristol Virginia; four beloved grandchildren, Sommer, Joshua, Hunter and Tawney; four sisters, Belle Aistrop and Millie Kestner, both of Meadowview, Margaret Harkleroad, Bristol Virginia, and Betty Latham, Bristol Tennessee; four brothers, Buddy Wynegar, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Eddie Wynegar, Elijay, Ga., Bart Wynegar, Abingdon, and Don Wynegar of Lafeyette, Colo. A crypt side funeral service for Johnny Daniel Wynegar will be held Saturday, July 24, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
