Arnold BUTLER, Tenn. – Windom E. Arnold, age 91, of 411 Pine Orchard Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at the Mountain City Health Center, following an extended illness. He was a native of Johnson County. He was born Sept. 17, 1912, to the late Grant and Cora Davis Arnold. Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Campbell Arnold, sisters, Goldie Estep and Onnie Pleasant, and brothers, Lawton and Stancil Arnold. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and was a self-employed sawmill owner for many years. Mr. Arnold is survived by two daughters, Ilene Breeding and husband Doug, Bristol Virginia, and Norma Newton and husband Kenneth, Bluff City; one son, Bud Arnold and wife Helen, Butler; seven grandchildren, Gregg and Stephen Breeding, David Arnold, Dianna Luckett, Donna Fritts, Jessica Whiteaker and Rebecca Newton; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Grace and Anna Breeding, Ashley and Nathan Arnold and Trevor and Haden Luckett; and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was a native of Shady Valley and moved to Bristol in 1951. Rose was a daughter of the late Grover C. and Anna Thompson Walker. She was a member of Marthina Memorial Presbyterian Chapel Ladies Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E. Campbell, in 1998, a sister, Pansy Robinette, and a brother, Roy. C. Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Berta Smith; her husband, Jack Musser; one sister, Vivian Woolwine; and three brothers, Willoughby Smith, Frank Smith and Wallace Smith. Mrs. Musser was born on Jan. 13, 1920, in Abingdon. She had lived in Abingdon most of her life. She was a member of Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher and education chairman. She was a volunteer for the Mental Health Social Club and Abingdon Arts Depot. Mrs. Musser is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne Edwards and her husband, Bill, of Atlanta and Libby McLellan and her husband, Doug, of Centreville, Va.; five grandchildren, Neil McLellan of Orlando, Fla., Sarah Campbell and husband, Tom, of Woodstock, Ga., Kevin McLellan and wife, Shirley, of Leesburg, Va., Molly McLellan of Los Angeles and Anna Edwards of Auburn, Ala.; and three great- grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda McLellan and Grace Campbell.
