He was preceded in death by a brother, William Michael Beaver. Ernest Lee Blevins ABINGDON – Ernest Lee Blevins, 79, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. Mr. Blevins was originally from Smyth County, Va., but had lived in Washington County for many years. He was a retired correctional officer for the State of Virginia, and had been a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Blevins was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Onalee Blevins. Cox Boyd BLOUNTVILLE – Martha Fay Cox Boyd, age 83, went to sleep quietly and awoke in the arms of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Born in Honaker, on June 28, 1921, a daughter of the late Virginia Cox, she has resided in this area since 1945. Mrs. Boyd had worked at Tennessee Eastman Company. She retired from the City of Kingsport Adult Education Department in 1979, following 25 years of service, where she taught dress and drapery making. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Blountville United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved sewing and gardening. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff on the Skilled Nursing Unit at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Boyd is preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Carr Tiller. She never knew a stranger and she was always there to take care of everyone. She had many dear to her heart and one special brother, Bob Black, who was always there for her. Ruth was born Jan. 22, 1940, in Bristol to Hazel Shores. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and in 1964, she was wed to Glen Olinger. She retired from Reynolds (Ball) Metal Company after 18 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services for Bobby Stanley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Clintwood Baptist Church, with Rev.Allen Bonnell officiating. Thomas BRISTOL, Tenn. – Mrs. Barbara Jean Booher Thomas, age 61, of 1012 Kentucky Ave., passed away on Oct. 26, 2004, at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Barbara was born on Dec. 13, 1942, to the late Lustee and Irene Morelock Booher. A native of Bristol, Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and attended Norfolk Avenue Baptist Church. She was also an employee of the Interstate Bingo Hall. Wyatt, age 73, of 1381 Bristol Caverns Highway, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1931, a son of the late Howard and Mae Jones Wyatt, and has made his home in Bristol all of his life. He was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie and Billy Wyatt, a great-grandson, Brady Leonard, and a sister, Betty Wayne Patrick. He was a former employee of Bristol Tennessee Police Department and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Wyatt was a member of the Rooty Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: wife of 18 years, Dorthy L.
