Baldwin, age 58, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at her home. She was born March 5, 1946, at Troutdale, to the late Charlie Earl and Hazel Blanche Sanders Baldwin. Surviving: brother and spouse, Mike and Penny Baldwin of the home; one niece, Heather Baldwin, Culpeper, Va.; two stepnieces, Betty Joe Rhoten and Nacha Hamm, both of Troutdale; special friend and longtime caregiver, Edith Nell Harper, Troutdale; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends survive. Boughers died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Minnie was a member of Holston Valley Christian Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. She was involved in the ladies aid and volunteered many hours to the children’s programs at the church. Minnie was also recognized as one of the area’s strongest women bowlers and competed in both state and national tournaments. She had one son, the late Timothy Lloyd Boughers of Greeneville. Minnie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby L. Boughers. She is also survived by Peggy Boughers-Miner and husband Bob Miner of Raleigh, N.C., Karen Boughers-McCastlen and husband Kurt McCastlen of Greeneville. Her pride and joy was her seven-year-old granddaughter, Hanna Grace Boughers. Additionally, she is survived by her kids, Nancy Flick, Shirley Rice, Wes, Susan and Gracie Buckles, Lee Flick, Michael Kim and Logan Booher, Misty Marie Kirkpatrick and son Lucas, and many special friends and neighbors. Lee Estep WISE – Robert Lee Estep Sr., 87, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, after a period of declining health. Born in Wise County on Feb. 27, 1917, a son of William and Ona Estep, Lee lived most of his adult life in the area, settling with his family on Glade Street in Wise in 1952. He was a retired employee of Wise Coal and Coke Company and a member of the UMWA District 28. He was a Master Mason of the Suthers Lodge 259 AF&AM of Norton and received recognition in 1998 for 50 years of service. Lee was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. All his family adored him. Preceding Lee in death was his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Hall Estep, his parents and several brothers and sisters. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7. Born on Sept. 11, 1911, in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late William James Keller and Ada Larmier Keller and was the last surviving child of her parents. Mabel was also preceded in death by her husband, Leander Ellis Groseclose, and a daughter, Mary Virginia Wohlford. She is survived by two daughters, Lois Mattison of Argentine, Mich., and Frances Craig and husband Phill of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; two sons, James F. Snodgrass and wife Ada of Arlington, Texas, and John Snodgrass and wife Dawn, who was also her special caregiver of Bluff City; three very special nieces, Lois Price, Reba Goodman and Judy Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Douglas was a sergeant in the U.S. Marines, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a Disabled American Veteran and was past post commander of the Abingdon DAV. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Thelma Neal Woodard, a brother, John C. "Buddy" Woodard, and a brother-in-law, William Buckles. Woodward BIG STONE GAP – Frances Wax Woodward, 90, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Wellmont-Lonesome Pine Hospital, following an extended illness. Frances was a graduate of Big Stone Gap High School and owned and operated Wax’s Wallpaper Shop for many years. She served as manager of Don Wax Rentals until her retirement in 1978. Frances was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Wax, Ralph Wax, Wayne Wax and Sam Wax, and her sister, Helen Wax Dickens. Survivors include her sister, Louise Wax Adams, Norton, and local nieces, Tamara Wax Cooper and Toby Wax Skorupa, both of Big Stone Gap, and Linda Wax Jenkins, Kingsport.
