She had lived most of her life in the Abingdon area and was a member of Cornerhouse Baptist. Survivors include sons, Edward Tomas of Texas, Edward Lee Ball Jr. of Bristol Virginia and Lee Thomas of Pennsylvania; daughters, Ida Mae Stafford of North Carolina and Mary Ruth Ball of Abingdon; grandsons, David Lee Ball of Blountville, Josh Stafford of North Carolina, Jeremy Ball of Abingdon and Christopher Lee Ball of Blountville; granddaughters, Michelle Lee Ball of Blountville, Laura Stafford of North Carolina and Whitney Thomas of Oklahoma; sister, Edna Miles of Tucson, Ariz.; and brother, Bobby Jolly of Little Rock, Ark. The funeral service for Mrs. Ball will held on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at 6 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tim Norris officiating. Bryson ABINGDON – Charles Wellington Bryson, age 59, formerly of Tampa, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; children, Erna Stevens of Abingdon, Elizabeth Berry, Shelby Bryson, Charles Bryson Jr. and Royal Bryson, all of Lakeland, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. Nancy Anderson Davis Nancy Anderson Davis, formerly of Abingdon, departed this life on Nov. 19, 2004, in Calvary Hospice Care Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. Surviving devoted loved ones are three daughters, Deborah Ferguson, Doreen Lewis and Vanessa Torres; one son, Thomas Davis Jr.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of New York. Also surviving are one sister, Frederica Cook, Bristol Virginia; one brother, Ronald C. Anderson, Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Curtis "Willie" Dye, age 74, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at a Richlands hospital, following a lengthy illness. Gonion Lee Edwards HONAKER – Mr. Gonion Lee Edwards, age 69, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, in a Lebanon hospital. Born March 16, 1935, in Dickenson County, Va., he was a son of the late Floyd and Sylvia O’Quinn Edwards. He had resided in Honaker for the past 50 years and was a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service on the HC 64 Honaker route for 18 years. He was a U.S. Army peacetime veteran and a member of the Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Edwards, and one daughter, Robin Michelle Edwards. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda Stinson Edwards of the home; five sisters, Helen Barnhart and Geneva Harris, both of Honaker, May Mullins of Haysi, Estelle Dillard of Chester, Va., and Mabel Rose of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Edwards of Honaker and Glen Edwards of Duffield, Va. Born March 12, 1974, in Richlands, she was a daughter of Wanda Stinson Edwards of Honaker and the late Gonion Lee Edwards. A lifelong resident of the Honaker area, she was a 1992 graduate of Honaker High School. She was currently employed as a teller and customer service representative for First Bank and Trust Company of Lebanon. She attended Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, survivors include her fiancé, Kevin McGlothlin of Honaker, and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.
