Lettie Cunningham BRISTOL, Tenn. – Lettie Beatrice Hutchins Cunningham, age 87, passed away on Nov. 23, 2004, at Wellmont Hospice House. She was born in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Bob and Virginia Cooper Hutchins. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Cunningham and William Cunningham. She wa a former employee of Bristol Memorial Hospital, where she worked in the X-ray department. Ms. Cunningham was a member of the Lighthouse for Jesus Church and was the widow of Frank Cunningham. Survivors include daughter, Mary Stubblefield of Stover, Mo.; sons, Marvin Cunningham of Dayton, Ohio, D.A. Cunningham of Bristol Tennessee, James Cunningham of Bristol Tennessee, Eddie Cunningham of Bristol Virginia, Freddie Cunningham of Bristol Virginia and Bob Cunningham of Dayton; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren. McCormick Dishman DANTE, Va. – McCormick Dishman, 69, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Grace Health Care, Abingdon. He was born in Russell County, Va., son of the late Tyler and Elizabeth Meade Dishman. He retired from General Motors Corporaton in Detroit, after 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Dishman, and two sons, Carl Lee Dishman and David Eugene Dishman. Campbell Ireson, age 98, a resident of Brook Haven Manor, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Wellmont Hospice House. Grant W. Layman CASTLEWOOD – Rev. Grant William Layman, 73, left his earthly life and went on to his Heavenly home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004. After battling a lengthy illness, he passed away at home in the presence of his wife of 51 years. He was born in Hillsboro, Ohio, son of the late Oren H. Layman and Mary Roberts Layman. Grant graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in ministry from Milligan College in 1954, and was a minister at different Christian churches in Tennessee, Ohio and Arizona through 1989. During this time, he led several revivals and sang for many special events. Grant loved to sing and his beautiful voice can still be heard in the hearts of everyone he touched. He was a member of Lancaster Masonic Lodge 57 F. & A.M. and assisted with DeMolay in Lancaster, Oio. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva Lou (Litton) Layman; one daughter, Mary Lou Turner and husband, Tim, of Lancaster; one son, Timothy Grant Layman of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Steven Turner, Christopher Turner, Stefanie Turner, Christina Turner, Bryana Layman and Azaria Ford; stepmother, Virginia Layman of Florida; one half-sister, Cathy Harper of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
