Mrs. Booher was born on July 9, 1912, in Honaker. She lived most of her life in the Bristol area, before moving to Rex in 2000. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. William Steven Clark ABINGDON – Mr. William Steven "Steve" Clark , age 56, formerly of Richlands, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 7, 2004, in a Richlands-area hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Richlands and was the son of the late William Graham and Ora Kate Dye Clark, both Tazewell County natives. He was a 1967 graduate of Richlands High School and a 1985 graduate of SVCC, with an associate’s degree in administrative justice. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a Purple Heart recipient, a member of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640 of Richlands, Tazewell County Disabled Veterans Tazewell County Chapter 31 and Vietnam Veterans of America. He lived in the Richlands area most of his life, where he attended the Richlands First Christian Church, and was a member of the Highlands Fellowship Church in Abingdon, where he resided the past four years. He was a former employee of the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands and was a former manager of the Richlands Airport. Steve was active in many community organizations. He was a Kentucky Colonel and received the VFW Citizenship Award and the DAV Community Service Award. He participated in the Virginia Department of Homeland Security Task Force for the Washington County Emergency Management Team, in coordination with the Washington Dulles Task Force. He was a previous instructor for FEMA, a past coordinator for Tazewell County Department of Emergency Management Services, and was active with the Red Cross and American Lung Association. He volunteered in the RHS Athletic Department and the Richlands area Chamber of Commerce. He was a past member and president of the Richlands Rescue Squad and the Richlands Volunteer Fire Department, and was a special police officer for the 29th Judicial District. He was a past member of Richlands Lodge 318 A.F. & A.M., the Kazim Temple, York Rites and the Richlands and Coeburn Eastern Star. President Casteen had him appointed as a honorary foreman at Scott Stadium at the University of Virginia. Steve loved woodworking, traveling, collecting eagles and playing Santa Claus at Christmas time. Katherine D. Miller FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Katherine Driver Miller, 51, formerly of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax. A daughter of the late Thomas R. and Nancy W. Driver, she was born on Sept. 4, 1953, in Richmond. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Hampton High School in Hampton, Va., and Madison College (JMU). She was employed by the Rockingham County School System, where she was a teacher, and Leggett’s of Harrisonburg. On Aug. 21, 2000, she married Michael P. Miller, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth D. Via (Robert L.) of Staunton, Va., and Ruth D. Born Feb. 26, 1928, in Russell County, a daughter of the late Alexander Patrick and the late Lizzie Robinson Patrick, she was a retired nurse’s aide for Munal Clinic in Kingsport. She lived in Kingsport 35 years, before returning to Castlewood in 1987, where she attended Mills Chapel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nora Patrick. She was born June 25, 1917, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and was a daughter of the late Anthony and Katherine Borek Kardynal. She served in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 27, 1944, to Feb. 8, 1946, as a yeoman second class, in the Fleet Records office in New York and San Francisco. In May 1946, she married and moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a correspondence control clerk with the War Assets Administration, before leaving in 1948 to raise a family. She had lived in Bristol Tennessee for the past five years. Mrs. Tebeau was preceded in death by her husband, John Peter Tebeau, four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Tebeau Gregory of Bristol Tennessee; three sons, Peter A. Tebeau of North Stonington, Conn., and Gregory J. Tebeau and John J.
