He was born June 29, 1953, in Bristol Virginia to Denver and Betty Bellamy Anderson, and had lived his life in the Bristol area. He was an employee of Bristol Laundry and a member of West Hills Christian Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a former member of Demalay. He is survived by parents, Denver and Betty Anderson of Bristol Tennessee; son, Robbie Denver Anderson of Bristol Tennessee; sister, Ellen Yvonne Price and husband David of Kingsport; nephew, Matthew David Price and wife Kylie of Kingsport; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mrs. Bouton had been in the nursing profession for several years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Worley Bouton, July 9, 2000, by her father, James Harvey McNew, and two brothers. Nell Potter Jordan LOUISBURG, N.C. – Nell Potter Jordan, 91, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Franklin Regional Medical Center, Louisburg. She was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Lee County, Va., daughter of the late Wiley and Jemima Duvall Potter. She was a resident of Louisburg Manor, Louisburg, and a former resident of Bristol Virginia. She was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church, Louisburg. She was a former member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Bristol Virginia, where she was a choir member, Sunday School leader, WMU member and a member of the Senior Singers. She was a former member of the Gibbon Study Club, the Classic Review Study Club, Bristol Music Club and Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Women Educators. She was a retired teacher, having taught for many years in Russell County. Her last 21 years were as a English teacher in Castlewood High School. She was married for 49 years to Charles E. Jordan, who died in 1981. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Paul, Jim and Dayton; and one sister, Wilma. She is survived by two daughters, Polly Frazier of Rockford, Ill., and Jane Blevins and husband George of Youngsville, N.C.; one sister, Blanche Robbins and husband Carlos of Crossville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; two "bonus" grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and hundreds of former students. He was born in Newport, Tenn., and lived most of his life in Big Stone Gap. He lived and worked in Cincinnati with Eristocraft Co. for 11 years. He was a retired coal miner of Stonega Coke and Coal Co., with 33 years service. He was a U.M.W.A. District 28, Local 6229. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Sarah (Seabolt) Woods, two brothers, John and Carl Woods, and one sister, Ellen Potter. Surviving are wife Hazel Collins Woods; two sisters, Edith Smith of Benham, Ky., and Mabel Ruth Smith of Silverton, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Christine T. Wyatt GLADE SPRING – Mrs. Christine "Teenie" Tuell Wyatt, 70, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Fred and Iretta Harris Tuell. She had attended the Washington Springs United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Milton Wyatt; an aunt, Ella Bell Arnold; an uncle, Moody Tuell; a half-brother, Curtis Tuell; and a half-sister, Ursula Looney. She is survived by one son, Joe Wyatt and wife Travis of Glade Spring; three grandchildren, Stephanie Lewis and husband Mike of Abingdon, Adam E.B. Wyatt of Abingdon and Madeline Keen and husband Jamie of Mount Carmel, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Preston Lewis and Sydney Lewis. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 6 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, with Rev. Eugene Little officiating.
