Garrett Funeral Home, Damascus, is serving the family of Mr. Baldwin. Mary Barrows NORTON – Mary Maiolo Barrows, 94, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in Heritage Hall Health Care, Big Stone Gap. She was born in St. Paul to the late Mike and Elizabeth (Harvoth) Maiolo, she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Norton. In addition to her parents, a daughter, Betty Neil Jennings, and a sister, Rose Rondinelli, preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Rondinelli, Sherriville, Ind.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home. Flora Marie Behymer ABINGDON – Mrs. Flora Marie Behymer, age 94, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at the Grace Healthcare Center in Abingdon. Born on Sept. 23, 1910, in Arnhem, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lena Holloway Mark. Mrs. Behymer was also preceded in death by her husband, Courtney Behymer, and a son, Ronald Behymer. Mrs Behymer was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ in Abingdon. She had spent many years in the Winchester, Ohio. After the death of her husband, she made her home with her son Charles in Tucson, Ariz., before moving to Abingdon. Blevins, age 85, of 217 Shankel Mill Road, quietly entered the presence of his Lord Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at the Cambridge House. Mr. Blevins was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Bell Farm, Ky., a son of the late Bud and Florida Blevins, and had made his home in the Bristol area most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Belmont Presbyterian Church. He was a retired employee of Univac and a former employee of Raytheon and had coached Little League and Pony League baseball for several years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Blevins. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Hamilton and her husband Bill and Annette "Toni" Hager; one son, Philip R. Blevins and his wife Carlen; five grandsons, Chris Hager, Nathan Blevins, Clinton Blevins, Seth Blevins and Knox Blevins; two sisters, Ola Rooksbury and Joyce Blevins; and several nieces and nephews. Isaacs FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Mr. Frederick Raymond "Fred" Isaacs, age 75, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his residence in Franklin. Mr. Isaacs was born in Banner Elk, N.C., son of the late Claude and Edith Brinkley Isaacs. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1973 from Raytheon Manufacturing in Bristol Tennessee then moved to Franklin in 1977. He was a member of Christ Community Church. Survivors include wife, Jean C. Isaacs of Franklin; son, Fred Paul Isaacs and wife April of Knoxville; daughters, Jeannette Isaacs Lemon and husband Ben of Bristol Tennessee, Janis Isaacs of Franklin and Ann Isaacs of Franklin; brother, Jack B. Isaacs and wife Barbara of Shelby, N.C.; sister, Virginia Isaacs Jones and husband Paul of Mount Holly, N.C.; grandchildren, Shannan, Matthew and Mark Lemon and Ian Isaacs; and great-grandchild, Colton Lemon. Wanda Owens BELLEVILLE, Mich. – Wanda Claire Bevins Owens, 91, formerly of Lebanon, passed away at her home on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004. Born on May 19, 1913, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Myrtle Tate Bevins. Wanda retired from Chrysler "Amplex Plant," after 25 years of loyal service. She blessed the lives of many people throughout her lifetime and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will forever live in their hearts. In addition to her parents, her cousin, Carl Tate, also preceded her in death. Wanda was like a mother to her special friends and neighbors of 21 years, Garry and Betty Gulliver; and was like a grandmother to Beth and Shannon Gulliver and Brian and Mary Gulliver, all of Belleville. Four cousins also survive her, Betty White of Canton, Mich., Dorothy Tate of Clear, Va., Virginia Colley of Porter, Va., and Ferne Tate of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Parks BRISTOL, Tenn. – James T. "Tommy" Parks, age 62, of 553 Deck Valley Road, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1942, in Bristol, a son of the late Tom and Violet Travis Parks, and he lived in Maryland before moving back to Bristol. He was a former employee of P.J.M. and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hendershot, and a brother, Roger D. Parks. Survivors include his children, Tommy Parks, Leslie Locke and Stephanie Arnold; two brothers, Ronnie Parks and Gary Parks; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Hobert Spurlock WOLFORD, Va. – Hobert Spurlock, 88 years of age, passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his home, following a brief illness. Born in McDowell County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Alpheus and Francis Justus Spurlock. He had been a resident of Buchanan County most of his life, a member of the Little Prater Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon, a retired coal miner and a member of United Mine Workers of America for 48 years. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Mr. Spurlock is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mae Charles Spurlock, Wolford; three daughters, Mrs. Jackie (Judy) Deel, Grundy, Mrs. Danny (Janice) Godsey, Bluff City, and Mrs. Phyllis Blankenship, Lexington, N.C.; two brothers, Ted Spurlock, Vernon, Fla., and Oscar Spurlock, Route 1, Hurley, Va.; three granddaughters, Cammie Matney, Abingdon, Kirsta Cox, Grundy, and Debbie Seaver, Bristol Tennessee; one grandson, Terry Charles, Lexington; four great- grandchildren, Tristan Matney, Colin Matney, Claudia Cox and Guinness Cox; and three stepgranddaughters, Ashley Seaver, Anna Seaver and Haley Seaver. He was preceded in death by five sisters, and two brothers.
