Herron JASPER, Ga. -- Evelyn L. Herron, 91, died on Dec. 8, at the Grandview Health Center in Jasper. She had been a long time resident of Bristol and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church before moving to Georgia in 1993 to be near her children. Mrs. Herron was preceded in death by her husband, Mack C. Herron. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Harry Gilmer of Big Canoe, Ga.; her son and daughter-in-law, John M. Herron and Donna Leonard Herron of Hartwell, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Gilmer Muse and husband Wayne Muse of Jackson, Miss., Kelley Gilmer Whitaker and husband Scot Whitaker of Jackson,Tenn., and Chad Herron and Krista Herron, both of Atlanta; and two great-granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Whitaker and Emily Ann Whitaker of Jackson. The funeral service will be conducted at the Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol Tennessee, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Harry W. Gilmer officiating.
