Healthcare of Bristol after a battle with asthma. She was a resident of the area for many years and a homemaker. Also, she was a member of Central Holston Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Kelsey Sr.; four brothers, Henry L. Edens, William Payton Edens, Roy Edens and Clifford P. Edens; and one sister, Virginia F. O'Dell. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sallie and Wayne Hughes of Bristol Virginia; two sons, Carl J. Kelsey Jr. and Walter M. Kelsey, both of Bristol Tennessee; one sister, Blanche Branson of Abingdon; and three grandchildren, Rena Kelsey of Barrington, Ill, Jerry Hughes and Sharon Hudson, both Bristol Virginia. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Juanita Worley of Piney Flats. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Central Holston Christian Church with Minister Ken Kehrer officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Central Holston Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. The family would like to extend their thanks to all employees of N.H.C. Healthcare of Bristol for all their love and dedication. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Holston Christian Church Building Fund, 261 Sand Bar Road, Bristol, TN 37620 or N.H.C.
