Lunsford Ruby E. Lunsford, of 10548 Oak Grove Road, Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Washington County, Va., the daughter of the late W.D. and Bertha Juanita Tranbarger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer D. Lunsford; a brother, Norris Tranbarger; two children, Mrs. Doris Dowell and Mrs. Kathy Poston; and four grandchildren, Fain Eugene Lunsford Jr., Paul Lunsford, Jennifer Poston and Donna Dowell. She was a member of North Bristol Baptist Church. Survivors include sister, Delphia (Dottie) Tranbarger of Bristol; brother, Paul Tranbarger of Kentucky; sons, Glen Lunsford of Bristol Tennessee, Fain E. Lunsford Sr. of Greeneville, Tenn., and Norris (Butch) Lynn Lunsford of Bristol Virginia; daughters, Maxine Rayburn of Memphis and Betty Jackson, Joyce Hoss and Eloise Rutter, all of Bristol Virginia; 33 grandchildren; 62 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Statzer and Rev. Gary Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Booher Cemetery on Tranbarger Road. Pallbearers include Norris Lynn Lunsford Jr., Tim McCall, Donald Dowell Jr., Todd Stanley, Clyde Joseph Rutter, Bill Brooks, Michael Rayburn and Harry Blaylock. Honorary pallbearers will be all other grandsons. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-9 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home and other times at 10548 Oak Grove Road, Bristol, Va.
