Nidiffer Mae Wyatt Nidiffer, 96, of 29 Harmony Drive, Bristol, Va., died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Wellmont Hospice House. She was born Oct. 21, 1906, in Jefferson City, N.C., and had made her home in the Bristol area most of her life. Mrs. Nidiffer was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Ina and Frank Maines. She was a retired nurses aide at Bristol Memorial Hospital, and she was a member of Lynwood Bible Church. She was the widow of James Landon Nidiffer. Survivors include, daughter, Iona Roe of Bristol; son, Landy Nidiffer of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Phillip Roe and wife, Susan, Becky Salyer and husband, Danny, and Jamie Roe, all of Bristol, Karen Nidiffer of St. Simonds Islands, Ga., and Charles Nidiffer and wife, Tasha, of Jacksonville, Fla.; ex-daughter-in-law, Sherlaine; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Price and Rev. Danny Salyer officiating. The committal will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery. E-mail condolences may be sent at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
