Peltier J.L. "Junior" Peltier, 75, of Bristol Virginia passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002. Born on May 21, 1927, in Bristol Virginia, he had resided in this area his entire life. Mr. Peltier was a tradesman and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Peltier was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Terry Lynn Peltier; two brothers, Karl Peltier and Paul Peltier; and one sister, Helen Arnold. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marie Trivett Peltier of the home; children, John Peltier and wife Cathy of Abingdon, Jane Marlow and husband Ed of Abingdon, and Mark Peltier and wife Teresa of Bristol Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew Peltier, Amy Peltier, Maria Marlow and Seth Peltier; brother, Edward Peltier of Bristol Virginia; sister, Ella Luchini Branson of Bristol Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in the chapel of Weaver Funeral Home. Rev. Lester MacKinnon will officiate. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Peltier, Charles Peltier, Stevie Luchini, David E. Peltier, Junior Tolbert and Gale Jones Jr. E-mail condolences may be sent at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
