Deed Book 3, Page 551. Indenture made the 25th day of July, 1756, between Lewis PARHAM of Prince George County, and Benjamin BRITT, for 30 pounds, conveying 516 acres, and being a dividend of land granted by patent dated 1756, to Lewis PARHAM, and adjoining lands of Richard UPCHURCH, Wm. JOHNSON, WALTON, and SIMM. Witnesses were Jacob WOOLSEY, Robert GEE, and Wm. JOHNSON (his mark). Indenture and Memorandum of Livery of Seizin were acknowledged in Court on July 25, 1758, by Lewis PARHAM, and Sarah, his wife, appeared and relinquished her right of dower. Deed Book 6, page278. Indenture made the 25th day of April, 1758, between Dionysius WRIGHT and Randal DANIEL, for 35 pounds, conveying 538 acres, being patent granted the said WRIGHT, and adjoining the lands of Gleeb, LETT and NOBLE. Witnesses were John DANIEL, Jr., Robert GEE, Jr., and James DANIEL. Indenture proved in Court on July 25, 1758, by the oaths of John WILLIAMS and James DANIEL. Deed Book 6, page 282. In 1758, the Virginia Assembly allowed pay to Robert GEE of Brunswick County for service in the French and Indian War (1754-1760). Indenture made the 28th day of November, 1758, between William BROWDER and William HOUSE, for 26 pounds, conveying 100 acres, adjoining lands of Isham LUCY, Robert GEE and Benjamin WHELER. Witnesses were Robert GEE, James PROCTER (his mark), and Henry GEE. Indenture and Memorandum of Livery of Seizin were acknowledged in Court on February 27, 1759, by William BROWDER. Deed Book 6, page 323. 1759 estate of Eliz. Evans named Robt. Gee Indenture made the 28th day of July, 1760, between Peter DANIEL of Halifax County, North Carolina, and Robert Gee, Junr., for 20 pounds, conveying 150 acres, which was granted to the said Peter DANIEL on August 10, 1759, adjoining lands of BREWER and KING. Signed by Peter DANIEL (his mark). Witnesses were John TILLMAN, William SMITH, and William BROWDER. Indenture and Memorandum of Livery of Seizin were acknowledged in Court on July 28, 1760, by Peter Daniel. Deed Book 6, page 548. Indenture made the 24th day of October, 1761, between Isham Luicy and John Gordon, for 50 pounds, conveying 200 acres adjoining lands of John Burrows and William Bowders. Gee This Indenture made the 26th Day of February 1781 BETWEEN Nathaniel Harrison Senr. of Brunswick County of the one part and Nathaniel Harrison Junior and James Harrison of the said County sons of Gabriel Harrison decd. and Grandsons of the said Nathaniel Harrison Senr. of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and beareth unto the said Nathaniel Harrison and James Harrison his Grandsons as also for the better maintenance and preferment of the said Nathaniel Harrison & James Harrison . . . doth give grant alien enfeoff and confirm unto Nathaniel Harrison and James Harrison, three hundred and thirty five Acres of Land situate in the said County of Brunswick on the South side of Stergeon run that is to say three hundred acres out of the Tract the said Nathaniel Harrison bought of Robert Gee and another Tract surveyed in his own name and thirty five Acres out of the Tract he bought of Samuel Harwell as is already laid off by well known lines, be the same three hundred and thirty five acres, more or less to be continued together for their joint and mutual benefit until (sic) they come of age, and then to be equally divided between them with all and singular the advantages hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging . . . XI pg. 512 This Indenture made this twentieth Day of March 1787 BETWEEN William Vaughan Senior of the County of Brunswick of the one part and William Vaughan Junior of the said County of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds . . . hath sold bargained and confirmed unto the said William Vaughan Junior in fee simple a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid containing by estimation four hundred and forty nine acres . . . bound as follows (to wit) BEGINNING at a poplar on the Three Creeks thence off North forty nine degrees East one hundred and sixty eight poles to a corner between three trees on Isham House's line thence along his line North seventy eight degrees East sixty six poles to his corner pine thence off South fifty two degrees East one hundred and eighty four poles to a pine thence South nine degrees East one hundred and seventy two poles to a hickory thence South thirty three degrees West twenty six poles to a posimon tree on the Three Creeks aforesaid thence up the said Creek as it meanders to the BEGINNING . . . This Indenture was proved by the oaths of Robert Gee, Chaney Tatum and Harbert Lewis witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. Deed Book 14, page 293. This Indenture made this tenth Day of October 1790 BETWEEN Jabez Northington of the one part and his wife Ann Northington and James Mecan of the other part the said Northington of the County of Brunswick and the said Mecan of the County of Macklenburg [sic] witnesseth that the said Jabez Northington hath bargained and sold unto the said James Mecan one certain tract of land lying in the County of Brunswick containing one hundred acres . . . for which I do acknowledged by these presents fully satisfied and paid by the said Mecan and the satisfaction is as followeth the said Mecan hath bargained sold & made over unto me Jabez Northington one tract of land in the County of Mecklinburg supposed to be two hundred acres . . . made over by the said Mecan and his wife Mary to Jabez Northington for and during the life of Mary Mecan the land is bounded as followeth BEGINNING at the roads on a read oak on William Marshalls line thence along Mafhells to Sack Penningtons line thence along Penningtons line to the roade thence along the rode towards Gees Bridge to the BEGINNING on Red Oak on Marshells line to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land . . . Signed by Jabez Northington and Ann Northington. Brunswick County Court October 25th 1790. This Indenture of Bargain & Sale was acknowledged by Jabez Northington and Ann his wife to be their act & deed & ordered to be recorded. Previous to which acknowledgment the said Ann being privily examined as the law directs did voluntarily assent thereto. Deed Book 14, page 626. This Indenture made and entered into the twenty second Day of March 1790 BETWEEN Robert Gee and Judeth his wife of the County of Brunswick of the one part and John Slate of the said County of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the sum of thirty five pounds . . . do grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said John Slate . . . one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Brunswick aforesaid on [ ??? ] [Dickets?] Creek bounded as follows, to wit, BEGINNING at John Edwards Senr. corner on the [ blank ][ blank ] along the said creek to Mathew Edwards corner pine on said Creek thence a straight line to Benjamin Edwards corner pine thence a straight line to the BEGINNING containing by estimation ninety two acres . . . Signed by Robert Gee and witnessed by Buckner Harwell, Sterling Peebles, Richd. Clack, and John Bafs. Brunswick County Court October 25th 1790. This Indenture of Bargain & Sale was acknowledged by Robert Gee a party thereto to be his act & deed and ordered to be recorded. Deed Book 14, page 628. This Indenture made this twenty fifth Day of October 1790 BETWEEN Isaac Hicks and Nancy Hicks his wife of the County of Brunswick of the one part and William Gee of the said County of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and f[??? ]y five pounds . . . grant bargain and sell unto the said William Gee all that tract or parcel of land [situate] lying and being in the said County of Brunswick aforesaid on Shining Creek containing four hundred and forty four acres . . . bounded as follows (to wit) BEGINNING at Ephraim Parhams [ blank ] on Shining Creek and from thence along the said Parhams line to the land of Patrick Ramseys and from thence along his the said Ramseys line to the land of Edward Birchetts and from thence along his the said Birchetts line to the land of Zebulon Lewis and from thence along his the said Lewises line to the land of Ephraim Parhams aforesaid and from thence along the sd. Parhams line to the BEGINNING . . . Signed by Isaac Hicks and Nancy Hicks. Brunswick County Court October 25th 1790. This Indenture of Bargain and Sale was acknowledged by Isaac Hicks and Nancy his wife parties thereto to be their act and deed and ordered to be recorded. Previous to which acknowlegment the said Nancy being privily examined as the law directs did voluntarily assent thereto. Deed Book 14, page 633. This Indenture made this 28th day of February 1792 between James Atkins of the County of Brunswick of the one part & Robert Morris of sd. County of the other part . . . that the said James Atkins Sr. for and in consideration of the just & full sum of seventy five pounds . . . doth give grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said Robt. Morris . . . one certain tract piece or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County aforesaid on Meherain [sic] & bounded by the lands of William Marshall Sack Pennington Asa Gresham & Philemon Russel and Meherain River containing by estimation one hundred & ten acres . . . This Indenture made this 23rd July 1792 between James Macan and Mary Mason [sic] his wife of the County of Brunswick Planter of the one part and William Gee of the same County of the other part witnesseth that the said James Macan and Mary Macon his wife for divers good causes themselved hereunto moving but more especially for and in consideration of the full and just sum of thirty pounds . . . doth freely & absolutely give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said William Gee . . . a certain tract or parcel of land on the South side of Meherrin River in the above said County containing one hundred acres of land be the same more or less and bounded as follows (vizt) BEGINNING at the red oak on Marshalls line thence along Marshalls line to Sack Penningtons line thence along Penningtons line to the old road to a white oak thence along the road to the BEGINNING on a red oak on Marshalls line . . .
