Thrift/Rideout Deed, 1772 - Brunswick Co. VA Deed - John Thrift to John Rideout - 1772 (Deed Book 11, page 35, Brunswick Co.VA.) THIS INDENTURE, made this Twenty first day of December, one thousand seven hundred and seventy two, Between John Thrift of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and John Rideout of the County of Dinwiddie of the other part. WITNESSETH, that for and in consideration of the sum of Thirteen Pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents to the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargain'd sold & Delivered and by these presents do grant Bargain alien and confirm enfeoff unto the said John Rideout one certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Brunswick containing one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less, Beginning on Thomas Simmon's line thence along the said Simmon's line to Robert Ruffen's line to his corner pine thence along the said Ruffen's line to ______ corner pine thence along the said ______ line to a corner maple on the three creeks thence along the said line to Simmons line at an oake thence along the said Simmon's line to the Beginning. To have and to hold, the said land, together with all orchards, underwoods and Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders, right Estate, Interest claim benefit and demand whatsoever of him the said John Thrift unto the said John Rideout, his heirs and assigns forever to the only use & behoof of him the said John Rideout his heirs Executors, Administrators or assigns forever to him the said John Thrift his heirs Executors, Administrators or assigns with all and singular, the premisses with their and every other appurtenances whatsoever unto him the said John Rideout and his heirs Ex'ors.
