ROSALIND SMITH FORD

   Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalind Smith Ford, who died Friday morning, 
December 14, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30, interment being made in 
Prospect Church Cemetery at Ebony, Virginia.

   Mrs. Ford was the daughter of the late W. Henry Smith* and Mrs. Emma Powell 
Smith of Southampton County.  She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church until 
her marriage when she transferred her membership to Prospect Methodist Church 
in which she worked faithfully.

   Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Ford, six children, Mrs. Hubert 
Rawlings of Franklin, Marion, Ethel, Katie, Willie and Edward Ford of 
Brunswick County and two grandchildren, Rosalind and Hubert Rawlings, Jr. of 
Franklin.

*Additional information: 

Her father's name was Henry L. Smith.  A Greensville Co. native, 
   he was a deputy sheriff 3 Nov 1868, when he m. Emma T. Powell. 
   (Southampton Co. MB1A:278) 

Rosalind had an older brother named Wm. H. 
   (1900 Census - Boykins, So.Co., p. 12A)
