Mrs. Temple was the wife of E.C. Temple of Franklin and the daughter of Mrs. Stelia Rawlings and the late V.W. Rawlings of Brunswick County. Besides her husband and mother Mrs. Temple is survived by a sister, Miss Ruby Rawlings of Brunswick County; four brothers, Lloyd Rawlings of Brunswick, Leon Rawlings of Emporia, R.P. Rawlings of Jackson, N.C. and Bernard M. Rawlings of Conway, N.C. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock from the home of the deceased’s mother, the Rev. B.B. Bland of High St. Methodist Church, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin Baptist Church and Dr. Elwood W. Jones of Franklin Congregation Christian Church assisting the Rev. D.G. Couch of Lawrenceville. The committal service was used and a poem read at the grave in the family plot near the home, pallbearers being George R. Brown, S.W. Rawls, C.J. Cobb, L.B. Holland, Matthew Turner, J. Fenton Matthews, George Watkins and W.F. Syphrett. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers. [Bertha (RAWLINGS; Mrs. E.C.)
