I John GASKINS of Brunswick County and Parish of Meherrin being in perfect mind and Memory but being sick & weak of body and calling to mind the mortallity of the body & that it is appointed for all men once to die I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament as follows, That is to Say principally and first of all, I Give & Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, & for my body to be buried in a decent & Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting but at the great Day of the general Resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, And as touching such worldly things wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this Life, I Give & bequeath the same in manner & form as follows, that is to say, I give unto Benjamin WHEELER Junior of Brunswick County all my Land or Lands in the County of Northumberland & Parish of Fairfields. Item I Give unto Thomas JAMES all the money he may have of mine in his hands after paying my Just Debts there. I give my bay mare to Miss Milly WHEELER. Item I Give my cloaths that may be left to Benjamin WHEELER's Children. I do hereby appoint Benjamin WHEELER junior & Richard HARTWELL my Executors and hereby utterly disannul & revoke all other Wills & bequeaths and Executors by me in any ways before time named In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this Day & Year first within written. And on the motion of Benjamin WHEELER one of the Executors therein named and he having given bond with Security & taken the oath according to Law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate therof in due form.
