VA Brunswick Co., VA, Will Book IV, p. 26 Abstracted by Matt HARRIS [surname capitalization & brackets mine] In the Name of God Amen I James INGRAM of Brunswick County Being Sick and Weak in Body But in Perfect sense and Memory Praise be to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imprimis I Give and Bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my Body to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian manner at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter Mentioned first I Give and Bequeath to my Loving wife Elizabeth INGRAM one Hundred and Ten Acres of Land lying and being on the South side of Meherin river and also three Negroes which is George Ned and Peter and one Mare Called Motley also all my Houshold Goods and my Stock of Cattle and Hoggs During her life and after her Decease to the Heirs of my Body and for want of such Heir to be Equally Divided Between my five Brothers George INGRAM, Joshua INGRAM, Richard INGRAM, Benjamin INGRAM and Joseph INGRAM Except the Houshold Goods which I Give to my Sister Tabitha GEE also I give and Bequeath to William GEE and his Heirs forever fifty Acres of Land lying and being on the North side of Meherin River I Give and Bequeath to my Brother Joseph INGRAM one Roan Mare Called Amey I do appoint my Loving Wife Elizabeth INGRAM and my Brother Joseph INGRAM Exors. of this my last Will and Testament and Disannulling all others In Witness whereof I have Set my hand and Seal this 10.th Day of May in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy James INGRAM (LS) Signed Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of...} Thomas STEAGALL ~ John BOOTH ~ Reuben BOOTH.
