Item I give and bequeath to my Niece MARY WALKER one hundred and thirty eight acres of land lying in the County of Mecklenburg on both sides of Aucurts(?) Creek adjoining the lands of John Hall, John Harris George Malone and Robert Johnson to her and her heirs forever. The remainder part of the said tract of land that I own to be sold & the money applied to the support of my wife and children. Item I give and bequeath to my daughter LUCY three negroes (to wit James, Cain, and Dilcey to her and her heirs forever. Also, I give to my said Daughter the saddle and bridle that is called her Item I give and bequeath to my son WILLIAM four negroes (to wit Simon, Deck, Nat & Lyda my larger Still and all conviences thereto belonging my Silver watch Gun and Shot bags my best saddle, and bridle my Carpenters & Copper tools to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my daughter MARY three negroes (to wit) Tom, Bristen, Ellick & Edith to her and her heirs forever. Item I leave to my beloved wife ANNA the use of two negroes and their increase from this date (to wit) Ned and Amey also one half the tract of land I own in Medklenburg ajoining Thomas Benford, Jesse Osling & others one feather bed & furniture, One Pine chest & her riding saddle, for and during her natural life after her death I give and bequeath the said land to my son WILLIAM & his heirs forever and the other part of that legacy to be equally divided as can be without selling any of the negroes amongst my three children (to wit) LUCY, WILLIAM & MARY to them and their heirs forever. Item I leave to my beloved wife ANNA the use of the Chamber in my house also the smoakhouse Dairy and half my young Orchard on the road and all the lands I own in the tract I now live on, that ----(sitheth) in Brunswick County on the south side of the road for and during her widowhood or death which ever circumstance may first happen, then I give and bequeath the said legacy to my son WILLIAM and his heirs forever. Item my will and desire is that my wife should have the liberty of tending any part of the plantation I now live on until my son WILLIAM arrive to the age of twenty one years or married. Item I give and bequeath to my won WILLIAM all the rest and residence of my lands that I now own to him and his heirs forever. Item all the rest of my negroes not before mentioned and the residue of my Other estate I leave the use of to my beloved wife during her widowhood but after her marriage or death which ever Circumstances may first happen my will and desire is that the hole of that Legacy be divided amongst my three children (to wit) LUCY, WILLIAM AND MARY to them and their heirs forever. But if my wife should think proper to give to either of my Children any part of the live stock or household furniture not exceeding the third part the gift shall stand good and that child to be accountable to the others for the value thereof. Never the less reserving my wife's life in the part above lent to her ~~ Item It is my Will and Desire that my Other two Tracts of Land be sold by my Executor hereafter to be mentioned for the purpose of helping to pay my debts and I do hereby direct and authorize them their Heirs &c to sell the said two Tracts of Land the one lying in this County & the other Orging (sic) County and to make all Right to the purchacers (sic) in fee simple to the same and if the sales thereof do not be sufficient to pay my Just debts with the sales of Horses, Cattle, Sheep & Hogs and furniture not before lent it is my Will & desire that one Negro Man by the name of Toney be the next thing sold & if he doth not sell for enough then one by the name of Addam & if not then sufficient whatever my Executors may think can be best sold for the advantage of the Estate~~ Item I give and Bequeath to my five first Children all the Negroes & their increase that I had by their Mother my first wife to be equally divided between them, I only give them the following Negroes, Lew, Jerry, Rippen, Jeaney, Crecy, Nan, Henry, Manson, Nell, Toney & Addam only my youngest daughter Rebecca is to come in with them for one equal shear (sic) with them, never the less lent to my Wife Ann Jackson is not given or to be divided until her Death as aforesaid. Item As I lay no Claim to the Negroes that came by my Wife Ann Jackson longer than for life, I shall say nothing about them depending on their Grand Mother of my little Girl Rebecca who has will them already to her.
