Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of Scott and Pearl Dotson Jackson, Lafayette, Tenn. She was a life-long resident of Buchanan County and was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Grundy High School and Southwest Virginia Community College and a faithful wife and loving mother. Mrs. McClanahan is survived by her husband, Billy Ray McClanahan, Big Rock; her parents, Scott and Pearl Dotson Jackson, Lafayette; one daughter, Billie Jean and husband, Jimmy Hurley, Big Rock; one son, Casey Ray McClanahan, Big Rock; one sister, Patty Sue and husband, Raymond Lester, Big Rock; four brothers, Larry Scott Jackson, Vansant, Va., David Jackson, Lafayette, Edwin Jackson, Big Rock and Steve Jackson, Abingdon; eight nephews; eight nieces; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers E.C. Honaker, Jimmy Kerr, Britt Jackson and Bobby Jackson officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock. Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening at 6 p.m. with services at 7 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Joey Lester, Wayne Looney, Derrik Jackson, Scotty Joe Jackson, Raymond Lester, Michael Ramey, Jimmy Hurley and Timmy Jackson. Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of all arrangements.
