Vonda K. Mutter

     GRUNDY -- Vonda K. Mutter, 63 years of age of the Deel area, passed away 
Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, following an 
extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late 
George W. and Mary Edgar Ratliff Mutter. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan 
County and a member of Vansant Baptist Church. She was a former employee of 
Royal Food Haven.
     Miss Mutter is survived by two sisters, Faye Mills, Westerville, Ohio, and 
Ann and husband, Charles Vestal, Vansant, Va.; one brother, Lyle and wife, 
Evalena Mutter of Grundy; three nieces; three nephews; three great-nieces; and 
two great-nephews.
     Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at 1 p.m. at 
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Parris, Evangelist Michael Trent and 
Evangelist Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley 
Memorial Park, Big Rock, Va.
     Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. 
with services at 7 p.m.
     Active pallbearers: Anthony Vestal, George Vestal, Mark Mutter, Ronald 
Ratliff, Earl Rife, Randall Rasnick and Fred Sisk.
     Honorary pallbearers: Junior Blankenship, Danny Dales, Kyle Ratliff, Arthur 
Whitt, Jo Blankenship, Betty Horn, Shirley Horn, Jill Reed and Joan Whitt.
     Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of all arrangements.
