Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Basil and Maggie Vandyke Looney. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, a member of Grundy Church of Christ and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stacy was preceded in death by her husband, John Quincy Stacy, Feb. 17, 1972. Survived by one son, Clayton Henderson and wife Susie Stacy, Grundy; four sisters, Martha Price, Lebanon, Ethel Robinson, Tampa, Fla., Nell Viers, Bristol Tennessee, and Gladys Fill, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Stacy Jr.; two sisters; and five brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 17, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Michael Trent officiating with burial to follow in the Stacy Family Cemetery on Basil Mountain, Grundy. Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6 p.m. There will be services Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Timmy Lee, Rodney Lee, Ricky Lee, Dave Deel, Tim Deel and Jeff Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles M. "Mel" Keen, John Whited, Bobby Shortridge, Blake Lee, Dr. Husain and former elders and deacons of Grundy Church of Christ. Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of all arrangements.
