Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Acey and Virgie Alice Lester Reynolds. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and attended the Baptist church. She was a nurse assistant and did volunteer work at Buchanan General Hospital several years, served with the Virginia Extension Homemakers Council for 40 years and was inducted into the Hall of Fame and awarded a plaque given by Buchanan County Extension Homemakers Council for year 1994. She was a very good seamstress, making clothing and quilts and did crocheting. She was a member of Levisa River Rebekah Lodge 47, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Stiltner is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frenchman Stiltner, Grundy; one daughter, Carleen Stiltner Wright, Poquoson, Va.; and two granddaughters: Carleen Cheri Wright, Pouqoson; and Bodina Chera Wright, Poquoson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hager Marie McClure; and two brothers, Hassel Reynolds and Thurman Reynolds. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Va. Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 6 p.m. with a song service at 7 p.m. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of all arrangements.
