Schulz VANSANT -- Virginia "Vick" Coleman Schulz, 82, of Route 1, passed away Monday, Nov. 18,. 2002, at her residence. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Mae Yates Coleman. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Schulz was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Schulz; a brother, Jack Coleman; and a sister, Edith Stuller. Survivors include three daughters, Kay Turner of Patterson, Va.,. Josephine Pendergrass of Kitrell, N.C., and Patsy Coleman of Vansant; one son, Clifford Thomas of Grundy; two sisters, Lottie Ratliff and Lois Deel, both of Vansant; two brothers, Roy Coleman and Clinton Coleman, both of Vansant; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Haysi Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Colley Cemetery, Route 1, Vansant. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Haysi Funeral Home where a song service will be held at 7 p.m. with Denver Barton and singers. Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
