BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Baldwin Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, The Baldwin graveyard: 1937 Feb. 1 Research made by Elizabeth McCraw Cemetery Location: .25 mile north of Curdsville, Virginia, on Route #15, thence about 50 yards east. Buckingham County DATE: 1858. The oldest grave. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: This old family burying ground close to the ancestral home of the Baldwin family contains a number of graves, though only one is marked. This grave is covered with a heavy marble slab, which is supported by a brick wall. The grave is also enclosed by an iron fence. The other graves are out side of the fence. The marble slab is badly cracked and the entire plot neglected. All the trees have been cut, and the land cultivated as close to the graves as “the law allows”. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscription was copied from the slab: In Memory of Martha A.
