Williams Cemetery Location: 4 miles north of Dillwyn, Virginia on Route #15, thence east 2.6 miles on Route #617. Cemetery on south side of highway. Buckingham County DATE: 1852 OWNERS: This cemetery was reserved by the Brown Family when the place was sold to Thomas Hall many years ago. DESCRIPTION: This cemetery has had no care for many years, the Brown family having moved out of the county many years ago, and the descendants have done nothing for the upkeep of the cemetery. There are signs of there once having been a fence around it, as you may find there at this time old broken boards and fence post among the periwinkle, honeysuckle, and undergrowth. Only two markers found, a part of the inscription was invisible on one tomb. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Sarah Brown Consort of B.A. Brown Born June 6, 1811 Died May 12, 1852 Harriet Brown Consort of B.A. Brown Died July 30, 1858 A part of this inscription was invisible.
