BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Eppes Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Eppes cemetery: 1937 Mar. 2 Research made by Garnett Agee Williams Cemetery Location: 4 miles south of Sprouse Corner, on Route #15, thence west 5.5 miles on Route #600, thence north 1 mile east, on a private road. Buckingham County DATE: 1823, date of oldest grave marker. OWNERS: The Eppes family. DESCRIPTION: These markers are flat stones of marble. Probably there have been others but no more could be found. This cemetery has grown up with honeysuckle, periwinkle and other under-growth. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscriptions on the stones are as follows: Here lied the body of John W.
