Williams Cemetery Location: .1 mile north of Dillwyn, Virginia, on Route #15, thence 4 miles east on Route #629, thence .9 mile south on Route #623. The cemetery is about 50 yards west of highway. Buckingham County DATE: 1849. The oldest grave. OWNERS: This cemetery has always remained in the Hubbard family. DESCRIPTION: This cemetery has been well kept by the descendants of the Hubbard family. It stands about 250 yards from :Chellowe” the famous Hubbard home. There is a rock wall around the cemetery. There are many graves but not all marked and many are of a later date. Double iron gates lead to the cemetery. Many lovely flowers have been planted here. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Following are the tombstone inscriptions: Bolling Hubbard son of Robert T. Hubbard and Susan B. Bolling 1847 – 1885 The memory of Mrs. Susan B. Hubbard Who was born March 28th, 1804 Died November 17th, 1849 O may I live like her, and like her die Living to Gods commands my soul apply. Blameless and virtuous be in all mens sight, and try to prove myself to God aright; Dying to his just will my soul resign, and count the triumphs of the righteous mine. Robert T. Hubbard Born September 26, 1808 Died December 19th, 1871 Francis E.
