Jamerson/Sharp Cemetery, Buckingham County, Virginia

This JAMERSON/SHARP Cemetery is located in Buckingham County, VA, just outside Dillwyn Town limits, Route 650 to Route 778.  However, it is located far off the dirt road and in the woods.  It is a large cemetery, with mostly fieldstones for markers.  I will list only those known to be buried here.

*Homemade slate marker.  Known to be Virginia "Jennie" Sharp Jamerson, wife of Richard Beverly Jamerson.

*Tombstone is a Civil War marker - 25th Battalion, VA Infantry, CSA.  Birth & death dates are from family information.  The name is known to be Thomas Russell Jamerson.

George F. Sharp		Abt. 1828			Abt. 1902
*Tombstone is a Civil War marker - Co. K, 2nd VA Artillery, CSA.  Birth & death dates are from family information.

*Believed to be Thomas Hardy Sharp.  Initials only are on fieldstone.  Birth & death dates are from family information.

*Believed to be Lucy Thomas Mann.  Initials and dates are on fieldstone.

NOTES:  Richard and Thomas Jamerson are brothers and they married sisters, Jennie & Margaret Sharp.  George Sharp is their brother.  Thomas H. Sharp is the father ofJennie, Margaret and George.  Their mother is Mary Ann Mann (Sharp), daughter of Lucy Thomas Mann.  

Poindexter S. Jamerson (buried in the other Jamerson Cemetery) is a brother to Richard and Thomas Jamerson.  

Thomas Russell Jamerson is the father of Thomas Jackson Jamerson, who is buried in the other Jamerson Cemetery.
