BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Leitch Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Leitch graveyard: 1937 Feb. 12 Research made by Garnett Agee Williams Cemetery Location: 3.5 miles southeast of New Canton, Virginia, on Route #670, thence 1 mile east on Route #610, thence 1.8 miles north on private road. Buckingham County DATE: 1857. The oldest grave marker. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: This is an old family burying ground, none of the descendants living in the county, so the cemetery is in an awful state with brambles and bushes. The markers are very large expensive marble slabs simply carved.
