Williams Cemetery Location: Go 2.8 miles south of Buckingham, Virginia, on Route #638, thence .5 mile on private road to house. Buckingham County DATE: 1826 OWNERS: This cemetery is located on property now owned by Mrs. Eubelia Spencer. DESCRIPTION: No care is taken of this small cemetery. It is surrounded by a cultivated field and is overgrown with briers and bushes. Only three graves are marked. The other graves have only old field stones at the head and foot. There are no trees or fence surrounding it. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This is one of the early cemeteries and was once the property of Captain Francis Moseley, who was a Captain in the War of 1712. The following inscriptions appear on the graves having markers: Captain Francis Moseley Born June 7, 1774 Died March 6, 1826 (This is a large marble slab) To the memory of Mrs. Francis Lancaster Born Oct. 1, 1795 Died Sept. __ 1846 (This stone is of medium size marble) In memory of Elizabeth H.
