Buckingham County DATE: 1862, date of oldest grave OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: There is only one marker for both graves. It is a medium slab of marble. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscription on tombstone: Col. Thomas Mosley Born 1797 Died 1862 He was in the War of 1812, Was a member of Va. Senate, Owner of Richmond Whig, Ruling elder in Maysville Church. Wife died 1879 Born 1797 She looketh well to the ways of her household her children rise up and call her blessed.
