All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Dee Seitel deeseitel@gmail.com May 17, 2014, 4:18 pm Written: October 10, 1796 Recorded: October 10, 1796 This Indenture made this tenth Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and ninty Six Between David Oglesby and Sarah his wife of the County of Buckingham and James Horvel Junior of the County of Charlotte of the one part and Gideon Horvel of Buckingham of the other part Witnesseth that the Said David Oglesby and Sarah his wife and James Horvel for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred Pounds to them in hand paid before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents have Granted Bargained and Sold unto the Said Gideon Horvel one certain tract or parcel of land lying on both sides of Joshuay creek in the county of Buckingham Containing by Estimation two hundred and Eighty four Acres more or less Bounded by the lines of Isaac Salle Boaz Ford & John Bransford with its and every of it appurtenances to the Sd Gideon Horsel and to his heirs forever to have & to hold the Said land and premises and the Said David Oglesby and Sarah his wife and James ______ __ selves and their heirs the Said land and premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the sd Gideon Horvel and his heirs will and do by these presents forever warrant and defend from All persons or person whatsoever laying any just title or claim thereto For Witness whereof they have hereunto Subscribed their Names and Affixed their Seals the day and year above Written Signed Sealed and delivered David Oglesby In Presence of Sarah Oglesby James Horvel At a Court held for Buckingham County the 10th Day of October 1796.
